How to update psp to ofw 6.39 and cfw 6.39 Pro B6

Hackers has manage to break 6.39 official psp firmware which means I am going to make another guide for 6.39 ofw.

Installation ofw 6.39

If you do not have official firmware 6.39 , then you need to install this first. Download  ofw 6.39 UPDATE. PSP 2000/3000 and PSP GO series use different firmware so make sure you download the right one.

PSP 2000/3000

Download 639

PSP GO

Download PSP 639 GO

  • connect psp to computer.
  • extract UPDATE folder in /PSP/GAME
  • plug off psp from computer and go to game menu in psp.
  • run 6.39 update

install any 6.39pro-b

Uninstall any previous firmware you had before installing new ones!
How to uninstall? Run the firmware and choose uninstall – like picture below!

NEW PRO B9!!!!

Download 639-B9

  • download 6.39 pro b9/b8 whichever you prefer.
  • extract all folder inside /psp/game/
  • plug off from PSP from computer and go to game menu in PSP.
  • run 6.39 pro
  • press x to launch cfw , it will install cfw and press x again after it’s done.

To play backup game , create ISO folder in psp root as per picture. Upload your ISO n CSO into that folder

    bro, kalau 6.39pro-b7 camna? sama je ke? yang mana lebih baik? try 6.39pro-b7 tapi x menjadi.. saya silap step kot..

      sama je step dia mana2 firmware sekalipun. semua gini gak.
      mula2 update official, then br update custom.
      kalau br je kluar baik jgn update lg. yg latest sgt kdg blum stabil

    Man i love you!!not a homo but u r the man!! u simply made things easy and clear to me and now successfully im playing the iso’s and cso’s on my psp go!!:D
