How to use CIMB Fast Cheque Deposit

I bet everyone is cashing out their Nov nuffnang cheque this week, I just did mine today using cimb fast cheque deposit. This guide will tell you how to fill and use cimb fast cheque deposit. I think every Malaysian bank use the same way so this guide is usable for others too. .

What is fast cheque deposit? It’s pretty much the same as cash deposit machine. All you need to do is fill in the form, include your cheque in the form and drop it in the box and your cheque will be cleared in 2-7 days. No need to queue up and you can bring home the form and keep it ready for the next incoming cheque.

The form is pretty self-explainable. Look at the picture, that’s what cimb fast cheque deposit form looks like. It’s pretty easy to fill in and we shall start from the top left. I will base this  guide with Nuffnang cheques.

Nuffnangcheques are from HSBC bank, so we will tick cek bank tempatan/ local bank cheque and write in HSBC for the “Bank” part. If your cheque is from Maybank then wrote maybank there. If per say yours are from overseas bank named John Hopkins then tick overseas cheque and wrote John Hopkins at the bank name.

Cheque No. is a unique number on your cheque. Every unique number has a signature mark on them which starts with “’ symbol and end with “’ symbol. Those numbers will always be below your cheque. The above picture is example of cheque no. that i wrote in the form.

For every sample of local bank cheque you can take a look at here; local malaysian bank cheque sample

Then wrote the amount, phone no. , your full name and your cimb saving account or your cimb credit card. When you are done, rip the yellow page slip. That one is for us to keep. We are done with the form, now onto our cheques.

Write your full name, your phone number and your saving account/credit card number at the back of the cheque. Then put it in the envelope included with cimb fast cheque deposit form. Now you may go to your local cimb branch and put it into the machine. Put it in the way the arrow says and it will give you a transaction slip . Wait 2-7 days for your cheque to be cleared.

p/s i do not work for cimb bank lol and pls do not copy pasta my article anywhere else :)
