SE k800i

6 days bfore Raya, i bought myself an SE k800i phone. In my mind, it will be used for taking pictures. Main use is for this blog, and maybe *just maybe* if i take a reallllly good quality picture, i could sell it.
And i haven’t feel disappointed yet. This phone beats any digicam out there ( xcept for those range RM1k price. Of course it’s beatable ) . Take a look of all those picture i taken in this blog. They’re all .. well, this would sound like i puji myself too much. But to me, really good quality picture. As the name itself is cybershot. 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus and stabilizer. What more could you want ?
It’s a 3g phone. Not that i use 3g at all, but this is useful for future reference. Comes in 3 color, black , brown and silver ala ala James Bond. And yes, the latest James Bond movie, they use this phone.
Like any other SE phone. It has similar functions. Sms, mms , memory card , wap , playlist ,infrared , bluetooth . Too bad , unlike nokia phone. You can’t create your own folder. And you can’t lock your inbox or picture folder. I think that’s the only function i regret not having. About the keypad. It’s too cramped. If you have big hands, you’ll find it a bit difficult to use. And if you read other users review on net, you’ll notice some of them complaints about k800i joystick. I too agree with them. If only SE didn’t put joystick and use normal button instead. k800i would be perfect.
I bought my phone at Technic Point Communication. It’s on the same row with Kopitiam Restaurant at Sura Gate ( D-gate ), bside sony shop . Actually that shop usually sell at cheaper price from any other shops in Dungun. However, when i bought the phone, everything seems to be RM40 higher than usual. Perhaps bcoz they know it’s raya and people will come shop for new phone. They didn’t give me any free accessories too.. My fault , i wan’t to get out of tht shop quicker.
Oh, just a quick note. This phone is 262k color TFT. soon after, i realize i need to buy screen protector. The one that came with K800i is easily torn off. I went to Pak Sabah, Celcom shop. To my shocking experiences , they’re selling screen protector at the price of RM20 !! and hardcase at RM18. Damn expensive.. So i went to Sura gate, Hotlink shop near mydin. They’re selling the same thing for RM10 and RM5. Same brand, same stuff.. Ironic isn’t it ?
Overall, if you have about RM800 on hand. Need a good camera phone with space and lots of function. Get k800i. I assure you won’t feel disappointed. K800i AP set price is around RM830. Soon it will go down more, since k850i is now out on market. If you can fork out more money, then get K810i.
